This year we are collecting Toys and Gifts for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.  Bring something along if you can help.

Here is a message about how you can help!

Thank you for being the difference every kid deserves.

We are so grateful for the support we receive from our generous community, including families, community groups, and organisations, when it comes to donating gifts to sick kids in hospital.

We are fortunate to have found ourselves in the position of having an incredible supply of toys at this time to support the delivery of our most impactful services, however there are some items that we are always very grateful to receive.

Items we always require (brand new only):

  • Playdough
  • Licensed items – such as Bluey, Marvel, Frozen etc
  • Rubber ducks
  • Colouring in books
  • Lego

If you are thinking of donating gifts to sick kids, we’d be very grateful if you would consider purchasing these items first.

Amazon Wishlist

Our Amazon Wishlist is filled with the items we need the most.

Having this online list enables us to update it regularly and immediately respond to what is being requested by healthcare professionals, families, and most importantly kids!

Choosing to donate an item from this list ensures your donation will have maximum impact.

Handmade items

Have you got a talent for sewing and a desire to support sick kids?

We currently require a regular supply of several handmade items to help support the healthcare journey of children in the hospital.

These items include:
Quilts
Pillow cases
Nasogastric tube pouches
Knitted Octopi

If you can help supply any of these items please get in touch. You can call us on 07 3068 4730 or email support@childrens.org.au

Donation restrictions

Your donation will make a significant difference to the spirit and morale of children during treatment and recovery. Children and their families may be at different stages of their healthcare journey so there are a few rules we need to be following to ensure we keep everyone safe.

For the safety of children and to abide by hospital restrictions, there are unfortunately a number of items we cannot accept.

This includes:

  • Political, controversial, religious items
  • Items with sharp edges
  • Food or toxic items (no latex) and scented items
  • Small objects
  • Anything with button batteries
  • Knitted blankets
